I partner with organizations in social impact sectors to create structural and cultural shifts that genuinely support women of the global majority in leadership.
This not a gap in women's leadership capacity. It is a Translation Tax.
Women leaders, particularly women of the global majority, carry disproportionate loads of organizational care work and DEI labour while receiving less recognition and fewer advancement opportunities.
They experience exhaustion that rest cannot touch — not from personal failing but from navigating systems that demand constant proving and continuous translation of themselves into forms the organization can receive. Research corroborates this. So does every room I have been in.
I know this terrain from the inside. Fifteen years in the federal public service, across departments with different performance codes and different version of acceptability required. Nonprofit organizations empowering women navigating systems not designed for them.
Learning spaces where I watched women perform competence while bodies kept a different score. The paradigm this work transmits was not built from research alone. It was built from inhabiting the exact conditions it names.
